Was there a Personality test?: Yes
Personality test comments: Upon completing your online application you will receive an email which contains an online assessment. It is a two part test, first part is a timed cognitive test and second part is a non timed personality test. No real way to study for the cognitive/reasoning portion just do your best and be QUICK! (I believe it was 20 questions with 3 minutes per question). Personality portion is just like any other (do you hate your mother? Completely agree, agree, disagree, completely disagree). As most people will say, “just answer honestly”.

Overall Impression?: Overall it was a great experience, from the moment you walk in you instantly feel a good vibe. The people at Virgin America are very passionate and proud of their product/brand/culture and it shows. They are obviously looking for like minded people who standout from the crowd and with bright personalities. The interview itself was an excellent experience, the panel of interviewers did an excellent job making all of us feel comfortable and welcome, even cracking a few jokes throughout the day.
Did you do Interview Prep?: Yes
Interview Prep Comments: Unfortunately due to the short notice for my interview I did not have the opportunity to attend a formal one on one interview prep course. I did however, have an opportunity to listen to some Emerald Coast audio files provided to us by our ASA MEC.
Additional Comments: The interview itself is two parts, first part you interview along side your entire group. simple and straight forward, “tell us about yourself” followed by a company presentation and Q&A. You will then take a break and be taken on a tour of the headquarters, when come back you will begin the TMAAT questions. Each person takes a turn after randomly picking a laminated card handed to us by one of the panel members. Once the group interview was done we went on lunch (provided by VX). After lunch you will come back for the one on one, or should I say, four on one interview. Again, very basic, Why Virgin America? have you had any accidents or incidents? all in all lasted about 10 minutes.
Additional Advice: -Be personable, you will take multiple breaks throughout the day. Make no mistake about it, they want to see you interact.
-Smile until your face hurts
-Be friendly and approachable
-Be yourself
-Dont try too hard
-For ‘kristsake do not wear a TIE!

VX is infamous for giving you short notices on interview invites, be prepared.

As cliche as it sounds just be yourself, it is pretty obvious when you are trying to hard.
