Hello, my name is Jared Allison and this is the WingStats blog. WingStats is here to help pilots land that flying job so they can “live the dream”. WingStats is also a place that you can show off your flying background, skills, and qualifications in a way that others will be either inspired or jealous. The WingStats blog will cover topics aviation related such as company progress, aviation industry news, pilot hiring, interview tips, and more.

Why would you want to spend your time reading our blog? Well, that’s a great question. When I was looking to get hired at an airline, and preparing for the interview, I wish there had been a blog, written by an actual airline recruiter, giving me tips and insights of how to prepare properly for the interview. Sure, you can read and study the gouges for the technical stuff, but an interview is more than just answering questions correctly. Reading this blog, however, you will see the interview from the perspective of the recruiter.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, I am an airline recruiter and also an airline pilot. I was hired as a pilot in October 2007 and pilot recruiter June 2011. One of the main things I love about recruiting is being able to give people the opportunity to begin their dream career. So now I want to help out even more by creating this blog. I hope you will find it enjoyable. If there are ever any questions about the aviation industry, recruiting, interviewing, or whatever, just post them in the comments or shoot me an email at jared@wingstats.com.
